If you’re eligible expanded access for adults aged 18 to 64 The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is expanding and millions of Canadians are now newly eligible. Since its launch last year, the CDCP has provided access to essential oral health care for those without dental insurance. More than 3.4 million people have been approved, and 1.7 million have already received care. Now, in its next phase, the plan opens to adults between the ages of 18 and 64 When can you apply? Applications open this month and will roll out by age group: May 1: Adults aged 55 to 64 May 15: Adults aged 18 to 34 May 29: Adults aged 35 to 54 Coverage will begin as early as June 1, 2025, depending on your application date and approval status. Who’s eligible? To apply for the CDCP, you must meet all of the following criteria: Be between the ages of 18 and 64 (application dates vary by age) Not have access to any private dental insurance Be a Canadian resident for tax purposes Have an adjusted family net income under $90,000 Have filed your 2024 tax return (and your spouse’s or common-law partner’s, if applicable) If you qualify, you can apply: Online at canada.ca/dental By phone In person at a Service Canada Centre Questions about your eligibility or coverage?
